Supporting DC savers at retirement: an analysis of the advice and brokerage market
The NAPF has published a research report into the advice and brokerage market, based on a series of interviews carried out by Ian Costain, acting as Independent Consultant to the NAPF.
The research identifies a number of barriers to trustees and employers putting in place guidance and advice services for their scheme members, and sets out three areas of activity the NAPF will take forward.
These include publishing a Made Simple Guide for our DC fund members, enhancing our trustee and employer training offer, and exploring how the NAPF can improve the functioning of the market, for example by setting some minimum standards for trustee and employers to use when appointing brokers and advisers or by putting in place a panel or master arrangement.
