Pensioner Poverty, Challenges and Mitigations: Call for evidence

In our response to the Work and Pension Committee’s Call for Evidence, we highlight the state of pensioner poverty in the UK, groups of people who are at greatest risk of experiencing poverty in retirement and key factors causing this. We highlight our previous report, Five Steps to Better Pensions, in which we set out high level recommendations for how the UK pensions system should be reformed. A key component of this is continuing to strengthen the State Pension so that it protects everyone from falling into poverty.
