Pension dashboards programme design standards consultation: PLSA response

This submission sets out the PLSA’s views on the PDP’s proposed design standards. These are the rules pensions dashboards must follow for the presentation and display of pensions information and data to users.

The standards aim to create a consistent approach to displaying data, as well as a regime of user guidance and explanations, while allowing dashboards some flexibility to tailor their displays to best connect with their user base. As schemes and dashboards gradually become connected to the dashboards ecosystem, comprehensive user testing will be necessary to ensure these standards function as intended, and iterative changes will likely be needed to optimise them for user understanding.
