PLSA 2019 AGM Voting Review
The PLSA AGM Voting Review analyses the results and key themes of the 2019 voting season, focusing on resolutions attracting significant dissent levels across the FTSE 350.
Over a fifth of companies experienced significant dissent on at least one resolution at their 2019 AGM, with executive remuneration and directors’ elections continuing to attract the highest levels of shareholder dissent. Meanwhile, increasing investor activity on issues from climate change to executive remuneration has seen companies take positive steps to improve practices.
As investors enter the 2020 AGM season, we hope that our review will be of value and provide support to pension schemes, their advisers and managers.
