NAPF, CBI, TUC letter to Steve Webb
The NAPF has joined forces with the CBI and TUC to write a joint letter to the Pensions Minister, Steve Webb MP, thanking him for his support to date and highlighting some shared points of concern about the new Directive.
The letter stresses the organisations’ support for better governance and communications, but argues for a less prescriptive approach, with more flexibility for implementation in a way that recognises the huge variety in national pension systems.
The letter also warns about the lack of a proper evidence base for the new proposals and the risk of undermining the role of ‘social partners’ in pension provision.
