The Association has responded to the Government Equalities Office consultation on the reporting of gender pay gaps. Unfair gaps in pay can create resentment in the workforce, while a low proportion of women in high-paying jobs suggests an organisation is not making the most of the potential of its workers. As investors, this information is important to pension funds, so we welcome the requirements for better disclosure.
