Ethnicity pay reporting consultation: PLSA response

In the wake of the McGregor-Smith Review into the issues affecting ethnic minorities in the workplace, the government published a consultation on how ethnicity pay information should be published.
Pension schemes as investors recognise that composition, stability and engagement levels of investee companies’ workforces are key determinants of long-term performance and ultimately of the value of scheme members’ savings. Pay discrepancies based on issues such as gender or ethnicity can also be a signifier of wider problems with a workplace’s culture.
The PLSA therefore worked with members to respond to the government’s consultation.
