DWP Consultation on delivering the CMA Final Order: PLSA response

Following its review in 2018, the CMA issued its Final Order in June 2019 which laid out remedies to reform the investment consultancy and fiduciary management sectors. The DWP issued a consultation seeking views on its proposals on bringing a number of the CMA’s remedies into pensions law. 

The PLSA welcomed the consultation, were supportive of many of the proposals made by the DWP. However, we expressed caution on how the services were defined to ensure the laws put into place reflect the CMA’s intentions fully.
