Completing the legislative framework for automatic enrolment: an NAPF response
The NAPF has responded to the DWP’s consultation on the latest batch of automatic enrolment regulations. Many of the issues addressed in the consultation flow from the recommendations of the Making Automatic Enrolment Work Review such as waiting periods and certification. The NAPF’s response calls on the DWP to extend the deadline for issuing waiting period notices to one month, to exclude non-pensionable allowances from the definition of basic pay for certification, and to give more flexibility to employers when choosing re-enrolment dates.
