The FCA has consulted on the standards for the guidance guarantee, the funding of the service and the draft FCA rules for contract-based pension schemes in signposting their members to the new service.

The NAPF has responded to the consultation, on behalf of its members, welcoming the standards but setting out a number of concerns about the timescale, funding and detail of implementation. In particular, the NAPF is concerned to ensure that a balance is struck between informing scheme members of their rights to access the new guidance service and the cost to schemes of repeat signposting.
