BEIS consultation – CMA statutory audit remedies: PLSA response

In 2018 and 2019, the CMA undertook an inquiry into the statutory audit market to consider whether it was working as well as it should be.  The CMA proposed a series of remedies and BEIS then sought views from the industry on the proposals. Given the importance of high-quality audits to schemes as both investors and as users of information regarding the financial health of their sponsoring employers, the PLSA responded to the BEIS consultation.
