Graham Vidler to leave PLSA
20 April 2018, Press Release
Graham Vidler is leaving the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) after four years as Director of External Affairs.
Graham’s period as Director of External Affairs has been one of immense change for the pensions industry, including the introduction of pension freedoms and the successful rollout of automatic enrolment. In his time, he has successfully integrated the Association’s policy and communications functions to make it a more effective voice and help the organisation stay ahead of the changing pensions environment.
Graham has built, and leaves behind, a strong team, which for the time being will report directly into Chief Executive, Julian Mund.
Commenting on Graham’s departure, Julian Mund said:
“Graham has been a highly professional leader of our external affairs functions and a valued Board and executive committee colleague. He has been a great asset to the organisation in his time here and, while we will be sad to see him leave, we wish him all the best in his future career.”
Graham Vidler said:
“I’ve hugely enjoyed my time at the PLSA and it’s been a real privilege working with such an expert and committed group of colleagues and members. The decision to leave is a tough one but I’ve concluded that now is the right time for me to move on.
“The job of improving the nation’s retirement incomes is far from complete but I’m proud of the progress we’ve made over the past four years. I look forward in particular to seeing the results of our ground-breaking work on retirement income targets and DB scheme consolidation and I’m confident that I leave behind a great team who will continue to move these and other projects forward.”

ABOUT THE PENSIONS AND LIFETIME SAVINGS ASSOCIATION
We’re the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association; the national association with a ninety year history of helping pension professionals run better pension schemes. Our members include over 1,300 pension schemes with 20 million members and £1 trillion in assets, and over 400 businesses. They make us the voice for pensions and lifetime savings in Westminster, Whitehall and Brussels.
Our purpose is simple: to help everyone to achieve a better income in retirement. We work to get more money into retirement savings, to get more value out of those savings and to build the confidence and understanding of savers.
