Coronavirus: An update on PLSA services
18 March 2020, News
As the coronavirus situation continues, the PLSA is taking measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, members and stakeholders and, we hope, to help reduce the impact on the NHS.
- Our offices at 24 Chiswell Street are closed and our staff are working remotely. We are rearranging all planned meetings.
- Our Local Authority Conference 2020 is cancelled. We will be in touch regarding refunds. We are working with our members and suppliers on next steps for Local Authority Update 2020 and other events.
- All of our face-to-face training courses and teach-ins are postponed. We’re working with our training and education partners to make sure we can continue to deliver high-quality training and education throughout the year.
Our commitment to members
Many of our people work flexibly already, so we’re well-prepared to continue the work we do for members.
That means we will continue to deliver the policy and research work programme valued by our members and to work with members, stakeholders, the Government and regulators during the weeks and months ahead.
This includes working on our members’ behalf to manage the economic and social impact of this situation on pension schemes and the millions of people whose retirement savings they look after. Find out more on our Covid-19 resources page.
We will also take this opportunity to bring you expertise, insight and thought leadership in new ways.
You can contact us as normal and we will keep you updated on our plans.
Our commitment to partners and suppliers
We depend on many other organisations and individuals to run our offices, our events and our member services. When the current situation ends, we want them to be there to work with us again. So we will always seek to honour our contractual obligations to them and do our best to find new ways to work with them as we adapt our services.
