ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Gordon Taylor has been MNT and Chair of the Baillie Gifford DB scheme for the past 8 years. He has a strong governance, risk and regulatory background, having worked as a lawyer for 30 years, with 20 of those in-house at BG.  He has recently joined Pi Partnership as a professional trustee. Gordon worked with Barnett Waddingham to craft the scheme's ESOG and is now working on its first Own Risk Assessment.

Wendy Round is Senior Pensions Management Consultant at Barnett Waddingham where she heads up the technical research and support group, and co-leads the General Code Steering Group.  The team have taken a pragmatic and unique approach to the code with the development of systems aimed at simplifying and streamlining the risk / governance proceses for Trustees. This led to the development of BW CORE, combining ESOG, ORA, Risk Register and Calendar into one central governance platform.
