Manchester Group

Manchester Group

The Manchester Group normally holds four meetings between September and March in addition to an AGM in June.  The meetings vary between different times of day and style with some being in person with an opportunity to network and others online as seminars.

We put on a range of events from presentation by an expert speaker, social events. Our most popular event happens once a year when we bring together a panel of well known pensions personalities for a pensions question time. These are very lively and have proved extremely popular with members.  These are followed by our annual summer BBQ and AGM.  The Committee works very hard to ensure the presentations are topical and important, and we welcome feedback from members.

All of our meetings are held in central Manchester.   The meetings are an excellent opportunity for networking and to ask questions of the expert speakers. We also hold an annual training day in February, which is designed to be suitable for people whose job is bringing them into contact with pensions for the first time.  See below for details of the 2025 training day.

Manchester Group's committee members are:
Leanne Carpenter – Barnett Waddingham (Chair)
Steph Rands – Pinsent Masons
Richard Barratt – RSM
Emma Shepherd – Eversheds Sutherland
Liane Carter – Dalriada
