NAPF boosts policy team

04 September 2012

The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has appointed Helen Forrest as its new Head of Policy and Advocacy to strengthen its policy work.

Helen will join the NAPF on 24 September from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) where she currently leads the Pensions Stakeholder Team. Helen will work alongside Mel Duffield, the Head of Research and Strategic Policy, and will report to Darren Philp, Director of Policy.

Darren Philp said:

“It is great that we have Helen joining us. This is a busy time in pensions and Helen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the NAPF’s policy work. Her experience from her time in Government will be invaluable in helping the NAPF and our members navigate through what is a rapidly changing environment for workplace pensions.”

Helen Forrest said:

“I am really excited to be joining NAPF at such an important time for workplace pensions.”

Notes to editors:

1. The NAPF is the leading voice of workplace pensions in the UK. We speak for 1,300 pension schemes with some 16 million members and assets of around £900 billion. NAPF members also include over 400 businesses providing essential services to the pensions sector.
