Angie Allardyce
Personal Assistant to the CEO

Angie joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in November 2021 and is Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.  She also provides support to the Chief Financial Officer and has responsibility for taking the minutes at PLSA Senior Management and Board meetings.

Angie has over 15 years’ experience working as an assistant at executive level in Financial Services including 9 years at Natwest Group and also supporting the UK CEO of AXA Investment Managers.

Shelly-Ann Bogle
Management Accountant

Shelly-Ann joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in November 2006. She supports the Head of Finance in delivering a high quality accounting service. Shelly-Ann is responsible for preparing the monthly Management Accounts and KPI report. Other responsibilities include: liaising with HMRC re corporate taxes, enabling quarterly VAT returns, liaising with the bank and payroll bureau.

Shelly holds an HND in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Technology Jamaica, and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Eleanor Carric
Communications Manager

Ellie joined the PLSA in February 2014. Previously PR Manager, Ellie works in the Communications team, reporting into the Head of Digital & Communications.

The Communications team work to actively promote the Association as the voice of workplace pensions through traditional press coverage and social media, as well as looking after internal communications with PLSA staff.  

Before joining the Association, Ellie worked at the Chartered Insurance Institute in the media relations team. Prior to this she worked for KBPR, a specialist pensions and investments PR agency, and was deputy editor at Pensions Age magazine.

Angela Chapman
Human Resources Manager

Angela joined the Pensions and Lifetime savings Association in April 2022 and is responsible for managing the Human Resource function and services for the PLSA.

Angela has over 10 years’ experience within HR, working across various different sectors including legal, professional services, engineering and retail.

Krista D’Alessandro
Senior Policy Adviser

Krista joined the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association in January 2023 as a Senior Policy Adviser.

She is passionate about public policy that promotes economic and social equity, and prior to joining the PLSA, she worked in Washington D.C. as a Senior Tax Policy Analyst at Enterprise Community Partners, a national affordable housing non-profit.

Krista has a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Boston College.

Carl Davey
Policy & Advocacy Programme Manager

Carl joined the PLSA from The Pensions Regulator after 25 years working in pension regulation and consultancy.

Carl manages and coordinates the programme of Policy & Advocacy work the PLSA undertake on behalf of its members – delivering on the strategy and outcomes we have outlined to help everyone achieve a better income in retirement.

Jess Davies
Head of Events

Jess joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in October 2006 and manages the logistics and production of the Association’s flagship conferences and exhibitions including the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Investment Conference, Local Authority Conference, Annual Conference & Exhibition.

Before joining the Association, Jess worked for Brand Events and DMG World Media and was involved in a wide range of shows including MPH Live (now Top Gear Live), The Ski and Snowboard Show and Taste Festivals.

Nicky Day
Insight Manager

Nicky joined the PLSA as Insights Manager in January 2020. She is a specialist in Market Research with over 25 years of experience working in consumer research and financial services. Prior to joining the PLSA Nicky was Head of Insight & Analytics at The People’s Pension where she was responsible for providing evidence based customer insight. At People’s Nicky carried out a range of research including customer satisfaction surveys, product development projects, thought leadership and branding research.

Prior to joining The People’s Pension Nicky was Insight Lead at The Pensions Regulator where she was responsible for all research into automatic enrolment, including determining levels of awareness and understanding of automatic enrolment among employers and intermediaries.

Nicky also worked as a Research Director at Ipsos MORI for over 15 years, working with a range of private sector financial services and consumer clients, as well as a number of government departments.

Nicky has a MA in Marketing from the University of West of England and BA in European Economics from Middlesex University and University of Nantes, France.

George Dollner
Policy Lead

Prior to joining the PLSA in September 2023, George spent almost 6 years at the Department for Work and Pensions working across various areas of pensions, health and disability policy. Most recently, he worked on the pensions dashboards project. He has a BA (hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton and in his spare time, is a keen runner!

Jon Echevarria
Policy Lead

Jon joined the PLSA in May 2022 and is responsible for helping deliver the PLSA’s defined benefit (DB) work programme, including supporting the PLSA DB Committee and DB Multi-Employer Schemes Advisory Group. He also helps manage the Association’s day-to-day operations for the industry-led ‘Pay Your Pension Some Attention’ campaign. Jon has over 22 years’ experience in the pensions industry in Australia, and more recently in the UK, with over 10 years spent in pensions policy roles.

Prior to joining the PLSA, Jon was a Senior Manager, Public Policy at the BT Financial Group (part of the Westpac Bank) and a Senior Policy Advisor at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), the peak policy, research and advocacy body for Australia’s pensions industry. He has also held various pensions consulting roles with both KPMG and PwC in Australia.

Jon has a BSc in Science (Pure Mathematics) and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of Sydney.

Maria Espadinha
Policy Lead

Maria is policy lead at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Policy and Advocacy team, with a focus on the LGPS, after joining the trade association on February 2023 as senior policy advisor. Previously, Maria had a career in journalism spanning almost two decades in London and Lisbon. She was editor of Pensions Expert at the Financial Times since January 2021, which she joined as deputy editor in November 2019. Previously, she worked as a senior reporter for Financial Adviser and FTAdviser covering workplace pensions, receiving the Personal Finance Society Trade Press Personal Finance Journalist award in 2018-19.

Ruari Grant
Policy Lead: DC

Ruari joined the PLSA in September 2021 as a Policy Lead on defined contribution pensions.

Prior to joining the PLSA, he worked in public affairs at Standard Life and latterly Aberdeen Standard Investments/Abrdn, where he focussed on a range of pensions and asset management policy issues, including automatic enrolment, dashboards, financial advice, illiquid assets and DB scheme consolidation. Ruari has a BA in modern languages (French & Italian) from Durham University.

Dana Granville
Content & Community Manager

Dana joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in April 2023. She is responsible for the content and communities on a new digital platform for PLSA members.

Prior to joining the PLSA, Dana worked in communications roles for several not-for-profit and membership organisations. She has a BA in Journalism and History, from Carleton University in Canada.

Alyshia Harrington-Clark
Head of DC, Master Trusts and Lifetime Savings

Alyshia became Head of Team in early 2021, and is responsible for leading on a broad range of the PLSA’s DC, master trust and lifetime savings policy and advocacy.

Alyshia originally joined the PLSA in October 2018 as secondee Policy Lead for the Cost Transparency Initiative and became the Policy Lead for DC at the beginning of 2020. She came to the PLSA from Wholesale & Investments Competition at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) where she worked on both the Asset Management Market Study and the Wholesale Sector Competition Review. In 2015/16 she was a seconded expert to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in Paris, where she worked on financial innovation and MiFID II.

Previous roles are as a regulatory conduct supervisor of investment management firms and investigator of criminal and civil market abuse cases. Alyshia's degree is in Philosophy and the Political Economy (University of Exeter). Alyshia is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and has held Chartered MSCI status with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments since 2016.

Ben Harwood
CRM Benefits Realisation Manager

Ben joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in April 2016 and is the Association's CRM Benefits Realisation Manager. He helps maintain the CRM system, working closely with all departments to continually develop the system itself and the knowledge of staff using the system.

Ben previously held a Business Development role at the PLSA. Before joining the Association he worked in the sales team at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and as a primary school teacher.

Nikolina Hudi
Registration Manager

Nikolina joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in October 2012. Nikolina heads up the registration side of the PLSA’s events and is the first port of call for all of PLSA’s event delegates. Nikolina also works on improvements and management of the PLSA database.

Prior to joining the Association, Nikolina spent six years working at the Croatian Embassy in London.

Stephen Judkins
Digital Manager

Stephen is responsible for delivering and managing PLSA’s website and other digital channels, ensuring they enable effective and engaging brand appropriate communication with members, staff and the pensions community. Stephen also creates a range of content for the association’s channels, including written, video, photo and design.

Stephen joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in February 2006, initially working with the events team before moving to a website role.

Helen Lamb
Senior Membership Engagement Manager

Helen joined the PLSA in November 2019 to further support and strengthen relationships with members. As Member Engagement Manager, Helen draws on a wealth of experience in membership roles, notably as Head of Membership and Marketing at the European Sponsorship Association.

Helen has also worked in marketing communications and PR in a variety of sectors including financial services for over 15 years. She is enjoying meeting PLSA members through a busy programme of visits across the country.

She has a BA degree in English from the University of Cape Town in her native city.

Katy Little
Parliamentary & Stakeholder Manager

Katy joined the PLSA in April 2021 and leads on our government affairs work.

Prior to this, she worked in a public affairs role at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, the professional chartered body for actuaries in the UK. She has also spent a number of years working in Parliament supporting both a MP and a Peer, and also has experience working for Local Government.

Katy has a BA (Hons) in politics from the University of East Anglia.

Rebecca Martin
Membership Engagement Executive

Becky joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in July 2008.

Becky works with the membership team. Her main responsibilities include membership enquiries, processing membership applications and renewals, and updating the Association’s membership database. Becky is also responsible for updating the membership and local group pages of the Association’s website.

Adrian Messina
Business Development Manager

Adrian has a degree in Business and Law and trained as a Barrister. He has 25 years of experience working in financial services having held a number of senior roles initially in compliance and then asset management and sales. A qualified investment manager, Adrian has more recently focused on business development and distribution of investment solutions and services to financial institutions. 

Adrian is responsible for business development and works closely with our business members regards commercial opportunities.

Rebecca Moessl
Events Technical Manager

Rebecca joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in February 2008. She manages the technical requirements for all events and training which includes audio visual, IT, video and the event app. 

She is also responsible for liaising with speakers on logistical aspects for all the Association’s major events including the Annual Conference & Exhibition, Investment Conference, Local Authority Conference and Trustee Conference.

Before joining the Association Rebecca worked in customer service and operations roles in the insurance and other industries. Rebecca holds a business degree from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

Jamie Neath
Parliamentary & Stakeholder Affairs Adviser

Jamie joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in May 2023 and supports our government and stakeholder engagement work. Having graduated from university he spent a year working as a Sawyer in a sawmill. He graduated with a BA (hons) in Politics and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Essex, following which he worked as a research assistant for a professor and as a voluntary Policy Advisor for Equipo Europa. 

He is also a TEFL qualified online English language tutor.

Beatriz Oliveira
Senior Events Executive

Beatriz joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in September 2023. She leads logistics for Local Authority Conference and ESG Conference and supports exhibition and sponsorship management for the flagship events, Investment Conference and Annual Conference.

Before joining the Association, Beatriz worked with exhibitions on the Travel and Cosmetics sector. Beatriz holds a Tourism and Hospitality Management degree.

Deepak Patel
Head Of Information Systems

Deepak joined the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association in July 2018.

Deepak is responsible for ensuring a first-rate ICT environment at the PLSA.  This includes ensuring high-availability of Information Systems as well as managing all aspects of IT including designing, planning, implementation and IT governance.

Prior to joining the PLSA in July 2018, Deepak has worked in a broad range of IT roles spanning many sectors, working with organisations such as Land Rover, AXA, Nike, The Scout Association and Reprieve.

Simon Sarker
Head of Research

Simon joined the PLSA as Head of Research in March 2018. He is a specialist in Market Research with over 18 years of experience working in consumer research and financial services. Prior to joining the PLSA Simon was a Technical Specialist working in Consumer Insight at the Financial Conduct Authority. Simon was a co-author of the FCA’s publications on Consumer Vulnerability and Access to Financial Services. He led the research and evaluation work on several large scale consumer campaign projects, worked on significant projects for Supervision, Policy and Enforcement, developed a consumer segmentation for the organisation and managed the original research for the FCA’s ground-breaking work on financial capability. Simon has also worked as a Research Director in a research agency working with financial services, media, retail and academic clients.

Simon has a MSc in Marketing from the Alliance Manchester Business School.

Keegan Shepard
Senior Policy Advisor

Keegan joined the PLSA in January 2023 as a Senior Policy Advisor on defined contribution pensions.

Before coming to the PLSA, Keegan was a Policy Advisor at NHS Providers, where he led the organisation’s work on influencing the national policy agenda around quality and patient safety on behalf of NHS Trusts across England.

He earned a PhD in 2019 and has since worked mostly in health research, only coming into the policy world during his postdoc, where he conducted research within the Quality Safety and Outcomes Policy Research Unit to produce high-quality research that would have a national impact on practice and policy.

Richard Silk
Head of Finance

Richard Joined the Pensions and Lifetime savings Association in May 2022.

Richard is responsible for ensuring high quality accounting services at the PLSA.  This includes ensuring that both internal and external reporting requirements are met as well as statutory reporting.  His career focus has been to identify and improve processes to provide supportive insights so that informed decisions can be made.

Richard has over 20 years of finance manager experience across manufacturing, Logistics and Media sectors.

Jordi Skilbeck
Senior Policy Advisor

Jordi joined the PLSA as a Senior Policy Advisor on the DC, Master Trusts and Lifetime Savings team in May 2022.

He is involved in the development of policies which influence the outcome of public policy in the interests of our members. He has previously worked in public affairs and communications for a trade federation within the automotive sector. He holds a degree in International Relations and, in his spare time, is studying for a Masters degree.

Mark Smith
Head of Media Relations

Mark joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in March 2019 and is responsible for media relations and public affairs. He has nine years’ experience in the financial services industry in the UK and Australia.

Before joining the PLSA, Mark headed up media relations for the Financial Services Council, Australia’s peak body for pensions, life insurance, financial advice and investment management. He has also worked as a journalist for publications in London and Sydney specialising in pensions and funds management.

Mark has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Manchester.

Marcin Stepan
Events Content Manager

Marcin joined the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association in May 2022. He is responsible for the content across the different events including the Associations conferences, roundtables, trainings, and webinars.

Prior to the joining the PLSA, he worked for OMFIF (Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum), where he led in the development of various events for public sector institutions and asset managers focusing on issues impacting public investment, monetary policy, and sovereign debt. He has over 10 years of experience working in the publishing and events industry across finance, investment, and oil & gas sectors.

Cali Sullivan
PR Manager

Cali joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in March 2023 as PR Manager. She has 10 years’ experience in public relations and has worked in the financial services industry for more than six.

Before joining the PLSA, Cali was responsible for media relations at Barnett Waddingham, a financial services consultancy. She also has PR experience in the public sector space which has included a local authority and University press office.

Cali has a BA (Hons) in Journalism and a CIPR Diploma in Public Relations.

Tiffany Tsang
Head of DB, LGPS & Investment

Tiffany is Head of DB, LGPS and Investment at the PLSA. She first joined the Governance & Investment team in February 2018. She is an economist and pensions policy specialist with over 15 years of public policy experience.

Prior to the PLSA, she was a Policy Adviser for the Association of British Insurers (ABI), where she focused on the UK retirement market and tax relief. She also oversaw research projects for the Retirement & Savings team.

Before the ABI, she led programme evaluations and labour market research for The Work Foundation. As a Research Officer at the London School of Economics (LSE), her work included analysing consumption patterns, national taxation levels and inequalities. For Euromonitor International, Tiffany published reports on emerging markets’ business environments. Her career started with international development work in Southern Africa.

Tiffany has an LSE MPA in Public and Economic Policy and an International Studies Bachelor’s from Vassar in her native New York.

Karim Uddin
Business Development Manager

Karim joined the PLSA Business Development Team in March 2022 as Business Development Manager, he will be looking after some of our business members & help maximise our engagement and commercial opportunities, he will also be working to bring onboard new members to the Association.

Karim previously worked at the British Healthcare Trades Association as their Business Development Manager and brings with him over 14 years of experience in Membership, prior to this has worked within Borough Council (LBTH) within Housing, Strategy and Social Services, he has also worked with the Met as a Diversity & Inclusion Lead.

Hollie Webb
Events Assistant

Hollie joined Pensions and Lifetime savings Association in February 2023 as the events assistant. Hollie supports the events team from the registration process, through to attending the associations biggest annual events. 

Before perusing her career in events, Hollie worked for the ambulance service for 2 years, whilst working in the interior design industry for 4 years. During this time, she achieved a qualification in professional interior design from the National Design Academy and her Category 2 HGV license.

Cheryl Wilkinson
Senior Membership Engagement Manager

Cheryl joined the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association in March 2017.

Cheryl has responsibility for membership engagement and retention.  Cheryl supports and develops the Association’s Local Groups and manages the Associations’ member networks.

Prior to joining, Cheryl worked for Mercer managing their Diversity and Inclusion membership networks and events for the UK, Europe and globally.  Previous employers also include the Local Government Association and Association of Police Authorities.

She has a BA (Hons) Politics & Russian Studies degree from Keele University and MA Literature from University of Southampton.
